Tad {Senior}

Ask Tad Wedel's friends what he likes more than just about anything else on earth and you'll get an across-the-board response of two words: Kansas basketball. You see, Tad just gets it. He understands that KU basketball is, indeed, one of the more important things in life. So, obvious fact number one is that Tad will officially make the trek north to be a Jayhawk when next fall rolls around. And, obvious fact number two is that Tad absolutely needed to have his senior pictures taken in Lawrence. So here we go...

The Pacific Coast

Two weekends ago I was lucky enough to get to drive up and down California's central coast area for a couple days (San Luis Obispo north to San Francisco).

Dang... This is some serious territory, folks. I had originally thought the beaches near San Luis Obispo and San Simeon were pretty amazing. And they are. But on up into the Big Sur area things just get silly. We're talking about stuff that you only see in movies. Five hundred foot drop-offs straight into ocean. Crashing waves that world-class surfers drool after. Trees bigger than anything I'd ever seen.

Here are a few pics I snapped with my phone. I was out there for a wedding, for which I did NOT use my phone, and a sneak from that will be up shortly. Had to get these up in the meantime, though!

Hunter + Jenny {Married}

Those that happened to catch Hunter and Jenny's engagement session know just how doggone excited I was for their wedding. Hunter and Jenny are a couple of completely awesome people who just happened to pack every single good thing about fall into their wedding. We're talking caramel apples, an old red barn, raffia accents, bluegrass music, Woodchuck cider... And if that wasn't enough, the entire thing was DIY'd by the bride and groom's families, it took place smack dab in the middle of an apple orchard, and the weather turned out just perfect.

Just a little engagement arithmetic for the day...

Wonderful fall weather + beautiful couple + perfect evening sunshine + said couple's pooch = photo magic.

Hunter & Jenny have me straight up giddy to shoot their wedding this coming weekend. I don't want to completely spill the details, but there has been mention of an apple orchard, a red barn, a cowgirl-boot-wearing bride, raffia accents, and a bluegrass band. Yeah... giddy.
