This past Saturday brought two exciting events: (1) just an excellent day weather-wise; and (2) a little rendezvous with the Fagers for some family shots. Richard and Lauren will be welcoming their second daughter within the next couple of months and so they thought it might be a good opportunity to snap some pictures. And, I just so happen to agree! Here's a sneak at our afternoon:

My new friends Nick & Nicole got a double-dose of picture action on Saturday, as they were also part of the family shots mentioned in my last post. The conditions for this maternity shoot were darn near perfect, as it was overcast enough to limit any direct sunlight, but bright enough to give just the right amount of light. We hung out in downtown Lawrence for a bit and then made our way up to KU's campus, so we basically visited both of the top two locations for picture-taking on the face of the planet. No big deal.

I haven't found an explanation yet that properly conveys my excitement that picture-taking-season is right back in full swing again. I took a couple months off over the winter, got amped back up and ready to go, got some new fresh ideas, and my calendar is filling up. I'm just super pumped. So when Brandon and Jami got a hold of me a few weeks ago explaining that they were set to add a little guy to their family in a couple months, I was naturally excited. And then, upon getting together with them this weekend, having an awesome time in general, and also learning that they were both big-time Jayhawk fans, I was that much more jazzed about everything. But, apparently hanging out with KU fans in Topeka on game-day puts a major jinx on the 'Hawks. So, sorry guys. Here are a few shots from our day though - had a super good time hanging out with you guys and I hope you enjoy these!

// A New Addition

My new friends Elliot and Erin are having a baby. And everyone knows that one of the FIRST things you do when said baby is about to arrive is go out and take pictures on the hottest day in the history of the universe. Duh. So that's exactly what we did!
