I've never heard my grandma complain. Through hospital stays, broken bones, depression, and all of life's other not-so-fun things, she's steadfastly positive. And I've literally never heard her speak poorly of another person. I don't know that I can recall a time when she expressedly talked to me about selflessness, loyalty, courage, heart, or motivation, but I've learned so much about all of said traits simply from watching her. She walks the walk.

Now, I've recently, for reasons unknown to me, developed an intense appreciation for photos of older folks. Freaking love them and the stories they can tell. And the fact that Gram is just photogenic beyond words makes me giddy. Now, she doesn't necessarily realize yet that she loves having her picture taken, but, I'll help her get there soon!
