Good Folks, Bad Situations

So why does God make bad things happen in good peoples' lives? Well, he doesn't. He allows them to happen for many reasons, but he doesn't make them happen in my opinion.

I was reading a blog post about Stephen Curtis Chapman's family and all they've been through the past several months. Part of the article said, "My heart has been so moved and encouraged and broken for a family that is truly clinging to Jesus for every breath. How the Lord must trust them to allow such a horrific loss and blinding sorrow." Whoa. Maybe part of the reason God lets bad things happen to us is because he trusts us to handle them appropriately, and in a way that will only glorify Him?

By the way, that post was on Meredith Andrews' blog, who happens to sing a song called "The River," which happens to be an awesome song.

Here are some pictures I took up in Kansas City this weekend. I'm heading to San Diego for work this weekend, and then to Eureka Springs, Arkansas right after that for a short vacation. I'm pumped to take more pictures.
